How to look *slightly* put together in the morning without sacrificing precious sleeping time!
1. Foundation (0:00-1:15)
I sorta kinda got my foundation abroad, (I’m really sorry) so it may be a little hard to find in stores. I have combo/oily skin in the summertime, and it’s difficult to find foundation that protects me from the sun but doesn't slide off! These two do both. I have the Bourgeois foundation in a lighter shade and the Vichy one in my summer shade, so I just mix th two.
2. Mascara (01:15-1:45)
These two mascaras are my holy grail. I curl my lashes and start with the waterproof Maybelline Lash Sensational and finish off with L'oreal's Lash Paradise (also waterproof).
3. Concealer + Powder (1:45-2:40)
My foundation is fairly light coverage, but it does even out my skin tone and protects my face from sun damage. However, I still need a little something to cover up my under eye circles and keep everything in place. That's where my concealer comes in. My FAVORITE concealer ever is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. It's a pretty good dupe for the Nars radiant creamy concealer ($30!), which I also love. You can get the Fit Me concealer for around $5.50 at target. It works really well with the real techniques stippling brush. Finally, I take a powder brush and use Maybelline's Superstar Better Skin powder to set everything into place.
4. Eyebrows (2:40-3:25)
Bless this product. I used to spend a good 5 minutes just on my eyebrows, but this is the perfect product for everyday use. Read my Glossier Review post for a more in-depth review! 11/10.
5. Slight Contouring (3:25-4:30)
On days where I don't have too much time (like this morning) I only use one of these products. However, when I'm not rushing I love to use both of these together. I start off with the cloud paint and intensify it using the NYX bronzer.
6. Lips (4:30-5:00)
I talked about this a little bit in my Glossier post, but I STRUGGLE with chapped lips. It's terrible. I can't use products like Chapstick, Burts Bees, eos, vaseline....they just dry me out. I tried out Glossier's balmdotcom in hopes that it would bring me my holy grail lip product, but it was fairly average. Thankfully, just a few days later, I discovered this beauty. She's a pricey one ($26), but she's worth it!! The moisture lasts all day and the lip mask comes in several colors. The semi-sheer berry color, Smashed, is my favorite. The only other lip product I will use for chapped lips is the Smith's Rosebud Salve, which is a lot more affordable at $7.
7. Setting Spray (4:30-4:45)
Finally, I use setting spray to seal everything in. I'm using the L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray right now, and honestly it's okay. The price point is pretty good ($18), but Urban Decay's All Nighter ($32) is a lot better in my opinion. When this runs out, I'll probably splurge and get that one instead! This is important for the type of climate I go to school in- it's been 90+ degrees for a few weeks now! I only use the Mario Badescu one when dry skin is a concern.
That's all for now!! I hope you guys enjoyed.
